The Department of Architecture, Bangladesh University, is proud to celebrate another remarkable international achievement by the students of Studio 1.2 at the XXIX Plastic Spatial Encounter 2026, organized by the Faculty of Architecture of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) through the renowned Luis Barragán Workshop.

We are delighted to announce that both teams representing Bangladesh University received international recognition:

This achievement reflects the creativity, dedication, and hard work of our students and the invaluable guidance of their mentors. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the award-winning teams, the entire Batch 42, the team advisors (previous winners) Ema Eshrat and S. M. Ahadul Islam of batch 40 and the Studio Teachers Ar. Sheikh Itmam Soud, Ar. Minhal Ahmed, Ar. Arif Mahtab Kabir.

We are especially proud that this accomplishment continues Bangladesh University’s growing tradition of excellence. In the 2024 cycle, our students also earned a 3rd Place Award and a 2nd Commendation Award.
