Dr. M. M. Enamul Aziz
Professor and Head
Dr. M. M. Enamul Aziz is a Professor and Head of the Department of Sociology at Bangladesh University. He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Sociology from the University of Rajshahi, awarded in 2007, along with a Master of Social Science (MSS) and a Bachelor of Social Science (Honours) in Sociology from the same institution. His academic career reflects extensive experience in university teaching and departmental leadership.
Academic Experience
Dr. Aziz has been serving as Professor and Head of the Department of Sociology at Bangladesh University since 19 November 2025. Prior to his current appointment, he served as an Associate Professor in the same department from 1 October 2011 to 18 November 2025 and as an Assistant Professor from 18 August 2007 to 30 September 2011. His academic career at Bangladesh University reflects progressive advancement through faculty positions and sustained involvement in higher education.

His professional experience is centered on university-level teaching and academic service in Sociology.
