Sabina Yesmin is a Part-Time Lecturer in the Department of English at Bangladesh University. She holds both a Master of Arts and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur. Academic Experience

Sabina Yesmin serves as a Lecturer (Part-Time) in the Department of English at Bangladesh University. She has also worked as a Guest English Language Teacher at the Technical Training Center (TTC) in Nilphamari, Rangpur, contributing to English language instruction and learning.

Professional Practice

She worked as a Communication and Blog Writing Intern at Bold and Becoming, an initiative focused on empowering and encouraging women and young people. She also participated in Project Ronggon Network, a community initiative under BRAC Bangladesh’s Amra Notun Network Changemakers’ Program, where she contributed to raising awareness of menstrual hygiene among women living in the Rangpur Railway slum area.

Professional Development

Sabina Yesmin participated in the 1st International Conference on “Postcolonial History, Language and Literature,” organized by the Faculty of Arts at Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur, and the 3rd International Conference on “Environmental Hazards and Gender Issues: (Re)imagining Literature, Language and Culture of the Global South,” organized by the Department of English at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet. She completed the Amra Notun Network Changemakers’ Training in 2023, organized by BRAC Bangladesh, which covered project management, storytelling, public speaking, human-centred design thinking, networking, climate change, and mental health and well-being. Her additional training and certifications include a Leadership Certificate from English Olympiad Bangladesh; participation in an International Workshop on Communication Skills and Think in English; Taekwondo self-defence training at Begum Rokeya University; and a Certificate in Computer Office Application from Zilla Parishad Computer Alor Pathe, Rangpur.

Professional Affiliation

She is an alumna of the Amra Notun Network Changemakers’ Program (2023 Cohort) and has volunteered with the Cancer Awareness Foundation of Bangladesh. She has also served as a campus ambassador for English Olympiad Bangladesh, Bold and Becoming, and Bohubrihi Online Courses.
