Workshop on \"Modern Innovations in the Technology Sector\" Held at Bangladesh University.
A workshop titled \”Modern Innovations in the Technology Sector\” was held at Bangladesh University (BU), one of the prominent private universities in the country. The workshop took place on Wednesday morning (November 2, 2022) at the permanent campus of the university.
Chaired by the Acting Vice-Chancellor of Bangladesh University, Professor Mesbah Kamal, the event featured Christopher Burry—Co-founder and Co-CEO of the US Market Access Center Inc. and Global Ambassador for the UC Berkeley Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology—as the keynote speaker.
Moderated by Rubaiyat Saimum Chowdhury, Assistant Professor of the Department of Business Administration at Bangladesh University, the event also included speeches from Director Dr. Kazi Taif Sadat and Head of the CSE Department, Md. Sadiq Iqbal, among others.
In his keynote address directed at future entrepreneurs, Christopher Burry said, \”You must work hard and be courageous.\” He further added, \”Technology cannot solve any problem on its own. Technology has to be adapted to solve problems, and that is exactly where the innovation of entrepreneurs lies.\”
In his presidential address, Acting Vice-Chancellor Professor Mesbah Kamal addressed the students and faculty, stating, \”Technology will completely reshape our lives. To solve the challenges of this newly reshaped life, technology managers and entrepreneurs must play a pioneering role. This is precisely why Bangladesh University constantly strives to integrate the innovation and management of new technologies into its academic curriculum.\”
The second segment of the program featured a lively question-and-answer session. Alongside the invited guests, the event was attended by the heads of various departments, faculty members, students, and officials of Bangladesh University.
